getting started

I figure the best way to get this rolling is to just throw some material out there and see what happens. So here is an episode I wrote a while ago that I was telling you all about that's kinda open ended so it should be able to help us get started if you want to add or take away something. Maybe we don't even end up using it but it's a start so it can't hurt.
